I recently put my name up as the NDP Candidate for Calgary Southeast in the coming election. The kicker was the Conservatives calling a new election after they themselves had passed fixed election date laws. They claimed not to be able to function as a minority government, but if they can't get a majority vote on their ideas based on merit, do we really want them being able to force their majority through strength of numbers?

I work in Quality Assurance at a software company. I specialize in Human Computer Interaction and Usability.

You'll find me on most threads attempting to bash mindlessness. I try to be fairly even-handed in this; though on political threads I tend to come up on the left of center. I tend to dislike dirty politics, and I think that Rove has added a far-too-lasting strategy to the Republican campaigns.
