Television – Gimore Girls had an all-new episode last night and it was a clear as day example of the new direction of the show. It felt like Gilmore Girls, but the characters were acting different. I'm just not sure how I feel about it. Amy Sherman-Palladino's departure has never been felt so deeply, yet it wasn't in a bad way. The writing is different. It's no

Television – Every good TV show needs a quality antagonist, someone who will play off our heroes and produce the conflict necessary to create good drama. These characters are integral for the viewing experience. We need a good villain to root against. With that in mind, here we are again with another of our weekly BuddyTV top ten lists.

Television – Preparing for a winter wasteland without the comforting presence of Lost by my side is a prospect that I'm not looking forward to. As far as I know, this 13-week break in the middle of the season is unprecedented; I can't think of any other show whose attempted such a manuever. Thirteen weeks is an entire season, exactly one quarter of a year, and

Television – Grey's Anatomy has everything, really. Medical drama, relationship drama, sexual intrigue, light humor, dark humor, and lots of good looking people. However, one overlooked aspect to Grey's Anatomy that undoubtedly helps its popularity is the music.

Television – Mario Lopez is the favorite, followed by Joey and then Emmitt. As always, I'll be rooting for Emmitt all the way. The live blog will begin at 8PM ET/5PM PT. Don't forget to hit refresh; the updates come every couple of minutes.

Television – Well, so it begins. The carousel is getting started and the under performing television programs are meeting their inevitable fates. I don't totally disagree with anything that either FOX or NBC are doing, but I always question the point of producing shows that any normal guy could see were destined for failure.

Television – So, apparently, Lincoln has been captured? Hmm, I need to start watching Prison Break again. If the rumblings are correct, Prison Break will actually be back in prison next season, which is both awesome and completely implausible. How would any of the main characters be put in a jail that they could possibly escape from?

Television – Each of the four team members were required to travel to an outdoor market, where they had to eat an entire plateful of cow lips. That's not a euphemism, either. Just lips off a cow; some still with hair and teeth. You never know with creative editing, but it looked like it took an hour or so for everyone to finish.

Television – Would Walt approve of Grey's Anatomy? The writer of Variety's article says no, but I think the answer is probably more complicated than that.

Television – The Simpsons aired "Treehouse of Horror XVII" last night amid little fanfare. I started watching The Simpson's annual "Treehouse of Horror" episodes before I knew what those roman numerals even meant, which makes it incredible that FOX is still airing new ones. While longevity may be admirable in theory, in practice it's usually

Television – NBC created the show Heroes and immediately seemed to know that it would be a hit. Their marketing reflected this and, as a matter of fact, it's now the most popular new show on television. Why did this happen? Would this have been possible in the 90's? Why has it taken this long for a show like Heroes to get on TV?
