Sarah Jessica Parker to Play a Rich Manhattanite?!

Movies – WHAT?! Well, sort of. Actually, she'll play a rich Manhattanite who loses her high-paying job and posh Upper East Side apartment and decides to start a business helping rich New Yorkers get their kids into elite kindergartens. (Knowing someone who worked as an admissions officer at an elite kindergarten, this is not shocking to me.)

Kanye's Rant

Music – I am sick of negative people who just sit around trying 2 plot my downfall... Why???? I understand if people don't like me because I like me or if people think tight clothes look gay or people say I run my mouth to much, But this Bonnaroo thing is the worst insult I've ever had in my life. This is the most offended I've ever been... this is the

Who Is The Parent?

Family – Now, I'm not sure if my laying down the law put the fix on his head, one can only hope. But it got me thinking about an article I read in the Philadelphia Bulletin which focused on the idea of parental control. To summarize, a child psychologist was interviewed, whereupon she suggested that there was a power struggle among modern families, and that

Political Nanny: Obama Tells GOP to 'Lay Off My Wife'

Politics – The GOP fight like little brats. It's true. They're all ad hominem, you-did-it-first, guilt-by-association in making their case (come to think of it, the Dems can get like that, too. But Political Nanny is ranting against the GOP in this particular post).

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are writing a Simpsons episode

Television – Every time I see Seth Rogen, and that is quite often lately, I'm taken back to my first introduction to his work with Freaks and Geeks. Did you ever think back then that he was going to be the huge breakout star from the show?

Black presidents nothing new to Hollywood

Sex and the City: Bad Charlotte

Women – Dear Charlotte: This is a little awkward because we don't really know each other. I mean, I know you: I've been to the spa with you (and by "been" I mean that I sat in my friend's living room watching your spa escapades on the screen while I drank a latte), I've been to your art openings, I've even...er... watched you have sex with a m

Round the World Families

Family – So, you want to bug out. You want to quit your job or take an excessive amount of leave, rent your house or sell your stuff, take the kids out of school, chuck it all, and, while your kids are still young, see the world. And you're thinking, "yeah, right, that's not going to happen." Well, sure, if you think about it like that. Round the

Sprint Instinct Full Video Walkthrough

Gadgets & Tech – The latest batch of Sprint Instinct vids are mercifully (and smartly) short on the iPhone bashing, instead going for a feature walkthrough/tutorial, kind of like the iPhone's (sorry Sprint). There's five vids showing different features of the phone, though live search is the most worthwhile, where you say what're you looking for, like "pizza&q
