Don\'t hurt yourself at the computer

Health & Fitness – Google\'s even trying to help us live healthier lives now! Via Google\'s official blog comes a list of simple things to do that can help stave off RSI (Repetitive Stress Injury). As someone who works from home all day in front of a computer, I\'ve often found myself \"aching\" after a hard day of sitting. These are definitely techniques that I\'ll use in the future. Some are as simple as \"Look away from the monitor and focus on something in the distance.\"

Build a 9v battery emergency light

Do-It-Yourself – I actually just built one of these last weekend, and while I don't see that it's going to get a ton of use, it's one of those handy little gadgets that I like to know is in my "MacGyver bag" should I need it. I would say you definitely need a little experience working with small parts, hot glue and a soldering iron, but otherwise not too bad. Build difficulty: 2 out of 5. Coolness: 4 out of 5. The future of beer is here!

Gadgets & Tech – Forget moving sidewalks, postpone the personal jetpacks, throwout the flying cars, this is the future I want to be a part of. The Miller Brewing company will release cans with a newly developed self-cooling technology a little over a year from now. The cans will use vacuum technology to cool the contents up to 30 degrees cooler in a safe, non-toxic and almost instant fashion. Found via www.engadget.com

Apple remains in control of pricing

Music – For the time being, it looks as though the price of a song in Apple\'s highly successful iTunes music store will remain at $.99. The media giant is in the final stages of renegotiations with the four major record labels, and while the labels have been pushing for variable pricing (to be determined by the popularity of the song) Apple head Steve Jobs has remained adamant about keeping it at it\'s current price point.

Eat Salmon if you\'re angry

Health & Fitness – According to a 2001 study conducted in the British prison system, the fatty acid Omega-3, most commonly found in seafood, can lead to lower aggression rates. The group that was given the supplement had over a third less violent crimes than those that were given the placebo. That explains why bears are such easy going laid back animals.

Has the cowbell jumped the shark?

Popular Videos – So many pop references in one little sentence, I know. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays major league baseball team are now using the infamous Will Ferrel skit \\\"Behind the Music: The Blue Oyster Cult\\\" (\\\"More Cowbell\\\") at various times during their games. There are apparently plenty of fans (both of the team, and the sketch) up in arms over the decision, thinking that this signals the end of the skit\\\'s \\\"hipness\\\". Personally, I\\\'ve never seen it without cracking up, so I don\\\'t mind too much.

Enough already, I just want a 17\" MacBook Pro

Gadgets & Tech – I\'m pretty sure rumors of a MacBook Pro with a 17\" screen have been circulating since the moment the original Intel-chipped notebooks arrived in January. According to AppleInsider (and many other rumor sites), the new system will finally make its debut next week at the National Association of Broadcasters conference in Las Vegas. Along with the increase in viewing real estate, the rumors are that the new machine will have faster processors, and increases in memory and storage as well.

A chair that may not prop you back up, but it will prop itself back up.

Gadgets & Tech – Everyone\'s been at their local drinking establishment when one of the patrons has had a little too much to drink, goes to sit down and takes a tumble. While the customer may be down for the count, that doesn\'t mean the chair has to be. I\'m sure that\'s not the idea behind this robotic chair that can reassemble itself, but that was the first use that came to mind for me. Check out the video via Make.

No more flesh eating viruses on Waikiki beach

Travel – It\'s safe to go back in the water, at least according to the Healthy Hawaii Coalition. Almost a month ago, flooding led to the burst of a sewage pipe that was pumped into the waters that reached the historic Waikiki beach. After one man died and others became sick from just walking on the beach, the Coalition decided to have the sand tested and it was returned without a trace of the pollutants.

On your next vacation, take Rover with you

Pets – Do your vacations never quite feel like vacations because you\'re missing your favorite four legged buddy? Then a couple of new getaways are designed just for you. Specialized vacations that allow you to take your dog with you are popping up left and right, there are even travel agencies such as DogFriendly.com that cater just to these trips. This sounds like a good idea, but doesn\'t your pet have to spend X amount of time in quarantine if you travel internationally?
