Politics – Jesse Ventura has just announced that he is NOT running for the office of senator from the state of Minnesota. He reserved the right to change his mind before tomorrow's 5 PM filing deadline. After listening to his faltering speech on Larry King Live, I think "The Body" took a few too many to "The Head" over the years.

News – A 16 year old DeSoto,Georgia teen is in custody today, after a Lee County High School teacher was shown a You Tube video of him using a large, inflatable pillow to launch an eight month old baby through the air. Fearing for the child's safety she called investigators, and now her former student is in the detention center.

Cyd Charisse has died at 87

Movies – The partner of dance greats Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly has died from heart failure at the age of 87. Born Tula Ellice Finklea in Amarillo, Texas, in 1921, she took the name Cyd Charisse, a combination of a childhood nickname and the surname of her first husband, as her stage name.

Long-Thompson visits Fort Wayne

Movies – Bob Anderson, who portrayed young George Bailey in the Christmas classic "It's a Wonderful Life," succumbed to cancer today at his Palm Springs home. The actor was 75 years old.

Celebrities – Alexander Courage, who composed the original Star Trek theme, died on May 15 at the Sunrise assisted-living facility in Pacific Palisades, California. The Emmy-winning, Oscar-nominated arranger was 88 years old.

News – This Tennessee eatery has been using the same grease to cook it's burgers in since 1912. Apparently that's a successful formula, as they're still going strong and business is great. Be sure to watch for the gas prices on the service station sign about three minutes into the video - sure to bring a tear to your eye. . .

Music – Paul Davis has died of a heart attack at Rush Foundation Hospital in his hometown of Meridian, Mississippi. Davis is mostly known for his 1977 hit "I Go Crazy"from the album "Singer of Songs -- Teller of Tales".
