Evidence Supporting Biological Evolution
Science – The lower jaws of mammals contain only one bone, whereas those of reptiles have several. Paleontologists have discovered intermediate forms of mammal-like reptiles (Therapsida) with a double jaw joint--one composed of the bones that persist in mammalian jaws, the other made up of bones that eventually became the hammer and anvil of the mammal ear.
