Politics – Feith neglects to mention one particular country that supplied Saddam with chemical weapons. Of course, it was the United States. Gives a bit of a different picture, doesn't it?

Do No Evil – Roger Simon at Politico believes Barack Obama allowed himself to walk into a big trap on Iraq by agreeing to tour the country and talk to the commanders on the ground. Why go at all if Obama planned to stick to his policy of withdrawal? Making the trip concedes that he didn't know what he talking about in the primaries
Politics – Two former secretaries of state have declared the War Powers Act of 1973 obsolete and proposed a new system of closer consultation between the White House and Congress before American forces go into battle.
News – The Washington Establishment lies most brazenly when they want to claim that their own insulated, fringe views are shared by majorities of "the American people." To achieve that goal, there's just no limit on their willingness to go on television and make up facts.

Politics – Even though McCain has agreed to an $84.1 million spending cap by accepting public funds--a decision he likes to portray as a principled stand against the corrupting influence of money on politics--at least double that sum will be spent on his behalf thanks to loopholes in the law that allow largely unregulated "soft money" contributions.
