Will Bush, Cheney attack Iran? When and why?

Politics – Leaders who are determined to provoke war, who seem to have extreme political and religious agendas and who are willing to bring death and destruction are not unique to our times now. There have always been leaders who sought to acquire, use and abuse power for all the wrong reasons. Leaders like this have long been a threat to world peace...

Letter From the Heart

Do No Evil – "My son was killed three years, five months, and 15 days ago on the perimeter of an oil refinery. He was the 249th American killed in the Iraq occupation. When he died I was the only person I knew of who had lost a child in Iraq. He had been in Iraq for less than five months, I could not and would not believe that he had been killed..."

U.S. Buries Truth

Politics – I always considered "President Hussein," who was hanged Friday, a sadistic bully and a loathsome megalomaniac. No one can accuse me of sympathy for Saddam or his fellow thugs who terrorized Iraq. But I was thoroughly disgusted and ashamed by the kangaroo court created and stage-managed by the U.S. that condemned Saddam.

Op ed: In Iraq, What Americans Don't See

Do No Evil – If we were to come to a new self-reckoning and grapple with the painful reality of what our country has done to theirs, we might think differently about sustaining our military role, or, conversely, walking away.

They're Watching

Do No Evil – There is something un-American about a government program that uses secret criteria to collect dossiers on innocent people and shares that information with various agencies, all without any oversight. It's the sort of thing you'd expect from the former Soviet Union or East Germany or China. And it doesn't make us any safer from terrorism.

Troops Give John Kerry the Silent Treatment While Visiting Iraq

Politics – Sen. Kerry found himself all alone while he was over here. He cancelled his press conference because no one came, he worked out alone in the gym w/o any soldiers even going up to say hi or ask for an autograph (I was one of those who was in the gym at the same time), and he found himself eating breakfast with only a couple of folks who are obvious
