The people who get promotions and make sales in business always seem to be the ones who've got the most connections. Sure, knowledge and skill matter, but "knowing the right people" also seems to matter, especially if the right people think highly of you.

Facebook phases out singular "they"

Hey Bill Gates, sorry I kept your book since high school
