Autos – Exotic carmaker Koenigsegg turned to Quinting to create a line of transparent watches. We don't mean the case is transparent allowing you to see the movement; the movement itself is transparent, each component having been painstakingly crafted from fine-cut sapphire crystal.

Toyota Prius can't pass Georgia's emissions test

Autos – Every Toyota Prius tested has failed the state of Georgia's emissions test because the vehicle is required to idle its engine during the test. The Toyota Prius shuts off its engine instead of idling, so the automated test instantly fails the hybrid car. This presumably affects any car with an engine stop function at idle.

Microbus'n!

Autos – The creator of the 24 Hours of Lemons recently purchased a VW Microbus for $800 dollars. The bus, a '73 I believe, is part of an ingenious penalty devised by the creator to make life miserable on the track for drivers who aren't obeying the track rules. I could say more but I don't want to ruin the surprise. However, the race is still months away..

Autos – Volvo announced this morning that its upcoming C30 hatchback will be priced from just $22,700 when it goes on sale in the U.S. this October. Keeping in mind that doesn't include a destination charge of $695, the pricing is clearly aggressive for this premium brand and makes the C30 Volvo's least expensive model.
