Movies – It seems only natural that Johnny Depp would eventually want to play a vampire -- it wouldn't be the most eccentric in the long line of eccentric roles under his belt. Depp's production company Infinitum-Nihil and GK Films have just obtained the rights to and are currently developing a script for the film rendition of Dark Shadows.

Television – It looks like Kevin Smith is really getting his feet wet in the TV business this year, isn't he? Not only did he direct the very funny pilot to the CW's new series Reaper but it now looks like he will also be directing an episode of Battlestar Galactica during its upcoming final season, as well.

Humor – Actor and Internet personality, Wil Wheaton, has been indicted by federal prosecutors on charges of promoting and hosting a robot fighting ring. Prosecutors allege Wheaton kicked and electrocuted robots that weren't performing well, as many as fifteen robots. "He just blew their circuits," said US Attorney Bob Schrumpkin.
