CRYMTYPHON

I assume by 'my Bio' they mean, my biology. Weird question. My biology is basicly carbon-based, oxygen-breathing; I like to reproduce and move around in a warm-blooded kind of way. But who doesn't? Sadly I am not allowed by my mother to be more specific as to who I am or where I live. I can reveal that we are Reformed Amish (we believe scripture allows us to use microprocessors, but not microwave stoves or self-massage chairs).

VA's Disjointed Accounting System Likely Misses Out on Billions

Money – If a veteran has private health insurance that can pay for care not connected to a service disability, the VA can bill the insurer. A little-noticed GAO report recently found that the VA likely missed out on billions of dollars from insurers because of a disorganized, disjointed accounting system.

Creationists Fail Again: Taken For Granite

Science – Geologists scoping out a glacier in Antarctica found a piece of granite there. This granite's structure matched that of granite found in only one other place: North America. Radioactive dating tests using several methods all match the age of the same granites in North America. So how did that rock get to Antarctica?

Creationist Research: Semi-Technical, Also Worthless

Science – Bless their hearts. The Creationists over at Answers in Genesis are working their perfectly designed fingers to the bone. Blowing the Discovery Institute out of the water by not only publishing a for-realsies science journal (well, at least once), but also performing 'semi-technical' research!

Obama holds to course

Politics – It's hard to keep up with Barack Obama's positions on the Iraq war. When he entered the presidential race, he offered a plan that would take more than a year to withdraw from Iraq. In September, he said he would withdraw all our combat brigades over 15 months or so. This week, he vowed to pull those forces out within 16 months of taking office.

Church this Way; State that Way

Religion – This Spadecaller video features a speech delivered at Notre Dame by Governor Mario Cuomo (1983) on the subject of religious belief and public morality. The mixing of politics and religion have morphed into a dangerous morass. Which candidate and party does Jesus Christ endorse?

Politics – Obama is pleased, but McCain certainly is not. In an interview with SPIEGEL, Iraqi Prime Minister al-Maliki expressed support for Obama's troop withdrawal plans. Despite a half-hearted retraction, the comments have stirred up the US presidential campaign. SPIEGEL stands by its version of the conversation.

Black. Female. Accomplished. Attacked.

Women – There she is -- no, not Miss America, but the Angela-Davis-Afro-wearing, machine-gun-toting, angry, unpatriotic Michelle Obama, greeting her husband with a fist bump instead of a kiss on the cheek. It was supposed to be satire, but the caricature on the cover of the New Yorker last week rightly caused a major flap.
