I'm a 39yo product of the sitcom suburbs. Father of 2, step-father to 2 more (including an autistic child). I'm usually seen as either a ghost or a gadfly and either disappear amongst the masses or am intensely singled out...never figured that one out. I am a living organ donor (Kidney - Feb. 25, 2004, no relation to recipient) and am a bit of an advocate there. My simple rule is; "If ya got a pair, share!" My philosophical base and primary influences can be listed as: AA Milne for Sense of Life. Sun Tzu for Clarity of Thought and Planning. R.A. Heinlien for Political, Social and Ethical issues. Lewis Carroll for Meta-physical understanding of the world I choose...though Robert Anton Wilson has been messing with my rabbit hole lately...And of course, the lyrics and music of the band RUSH for providing the soundtrack of my life and a cultural subdivision close to my heart. I try to live my life by the Golden Rule (which I call the Universal Moral Maxim) and am usually most comfortable and am usually most accepted by those of the Libertarian bent. If I were to declare a personal maxim which guided my world view, it would be: "Believe in all things and everything, but none of the above." Also, when no one is looking, I write poetry using classical and international models (and thus am generally shunned at the readings I try to attend - rambling, disjointed introspection and unformed blah-blah seems to be the accepted rage...but I almost never follow the herd, prefering instead the path chosen by the Cat in Kipling's Just So Stories...meow)
