I have a degree in music but that changed to computer systems and I have worked in application development for 25 years. I still enjoy music, do a bit of ballroom dancing, and I am also involved in pet rescue and volunteer at an area animal shelter. I also help run a science fiction convention in Memphis - it is held every year in March. Caring for a living veteran requires time, money and a life-long commitment. Every Veterans Day our politicians show they don't know the difference as they visit a cemetery instead of a VA hospital." I mean, that is fantastic that you're doing that." -- February 2005, George W. Bush to a single mother of 3 children ...

O'Reilly: Obama's big advantage is money

Politics – Right now, the smart money is betting the next president of the United States will be named Obama, and dollars are the primary reason why. As you may have heard, the senator has flip-flopped on public campaign financing and now says he will not accept it, even though he once thought it was a swell idea.

The Worst Day of Hillary's Life

Politics – Hillary Clinton standing off to the side while Obama is at the podium up there in Unity, New Hampshire, and she's got her hands clasped, and she is just looking at him so admiringly, and I don't believe for a minute she is admiring or enjoying whatever is going on. This is all about $10 million being raised.

Flip-flop confirmed: Obama says D.C. gun ban "went beyond constitutional limits"

Politics – The money bit's at 38 seconds in if you're pressed for time. After a day spent paying lip service to both sides of the debate while studiously avoiding the issue of whether the actual statute at stake in Heller was unconstitutional, he finally bites the bullet (no pun intended) and addresses it.

You Can't Fuel All the People All the Time

Politics – Democrats couldn't care less about high gas prices. The consistent policy of the Democratic Party, going back at least to Jimmy Carter, has been to jack up gas prices so we can all start pedaling around on tricycles.

Heart-ache: Obama drops presidential seal (what a surprise)

Politics – Like the man says, he insists on the suppression of ego; he just didn't realize it might come off as egotistical to debut his very own presidential seal until his friends and allies in the media politely informed him of it

St. Barack Was A Mirage

Politics – Senator Barack Obama has revealed himself to be what some thought of him all along: a fairly typical politician. His soaring ideals are largely being replaced with typical expediency.

Obama Would Leave America Unprotected

Politics – Like a Rip Van Winkle who is unaware of recent history, Barack Obama is citing the government's prosecution of those responsible for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing as the correct way to deal with terrorism. In an ABC interview, Obama said the government can crack down on terrorists "within the constraints of the Constitution."

Obama's Presidental Seal Thrown Under The Bus

Politics – OK, who called it first? Obama drops the Presidential-looking seal after the press politely tells him it looks a skosh egotistical. This is what the Germans call "schadenfreude" - enjoying someone else's misfortune.
