Politics – House Republicans are traveling to Alaska to check out the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. "I'm hoping to see some wildlife," said Rep. John Boehner. "But I understand there's none there." Actually, ANWR is inhabited by 45 species of land and marine mammals, 36 species of fish, and 180 species of birds.

Jimmy Carter Was Right

Politics – I realize that bashing Jimmy Carter is something of a favorite sport for many people in our country. But when it comes to energy conservation and the dismal situation we now find ourselves in regarding foreign oil dependence, and a withering auto industry, Carter's diagnosis and solutions would have largely spared us the pain we're all now feeling.
