Sports – Have we really hit the last week of fantasy basketball? If you're one of the lucky ones, you are either wrapping up a roto league or you've already finished your H2H championships a week or two ago. If your team is in a championship this week? You're probably screwed. But let GMTR help you out. Here's a team-by-team rundown for the Eastern Conferen

Sports – No fantasy basketball related shenanigans last night. Only the sophomores putting the annual beat down on the rookies 136-109 in the NBA All-Star Rookie Challenge. And with nothing better to do on a Saturday morning, why not run the game through the player rater and breakdown some of the performances?

Sports – Carnival of the NBA #52 (where links happen) is up at LOY's Place. It's another great edition to the Carnival which runs down all the wonderful things we have to be thankful for at the start of the NBA season. Thanks to FLCeltsFan for pulling it together.

Sports – It's clear that the blog has become a significant communication tool for many professional athletes. It is a place where they can comment on yesterday's game because a fan dared them to, talk about how their rehab is going, post a letter they received from a general manager, chat about what they do on off days, and invite people to play HALO 3 with

Sports – I've already discussed centers, now it's time to move on to some other very large men who spend a lot of time in the post - power forwards. As always, you can find this all in the GMTR player tier spreadsheet. Tier 1 Kevin Garnett (F) - 3 Shawn Marion (F) - 3 Dirk Nowitzki (PF) - 5

Sports – Ok, I'm dusting the cobwebs off my MBA diploma to come up with a million dollar idea for Yahoo fantasy basketball, or at least one that's better than sticking Tracy McGrady on a 200 pixel banner ad at the bottom of a webpage. First, get Gilbert Arenas...

Sports – How does a team ruin its season before it starts? One of the best ways is to have your all-star rupture his Achilles during the off season. That'll do. We've broken down the Brand injury and what he can expect this season, but what about the rest of the team?

Sports – A few years ago, did anyone think Tyson Chandler would become C1 caliber? Chandler had a nice year for the Hornets and bumped his rebounds to 12.4 and almost doubled his points a game. From February of last year on, he averaged 13 points and 14 rebounds a game. Crunching the numbers, he would have ranked as #54 best player last season.
