The best Adsense tools

Careers & Jobs – It\'s no secret that if you plan on making a living off of your own websites, Google\'s Adsense advertising program should be your first stop. Via Digg comes a great list of 10 tools that will allow you to get the most out of Adsense. I\'ve used a couple of these in the past, and along with the author, I have to say that the Adsense Calculator is one of my favorites.

Why Gnarls Barkley will go down in history

Music – The song Crazy by musical duo Gnarls Barkley, Brian Burton aka DJ Danger Mouse and hip-hop artist Cee-Lo, made history in the UK last week by going to number one on the pop charts. The impressive part comes with the knowledge that Crazy was not sold in a physical form once during that time, all of it\'s sales came through online downloads. Because of recent changes in the way online sales are tracked, this was the first time a purely digital song made it to number one. On top of that fun fact, the song is pretty cool too.

New quicker version of eBay

Shopping – Online shopping giant eBay has just released a quick find version of their service called eBay Express. I just bought a messenger bag from there and it\'s really slick. From what I can tell, it automatically uses the \"Buy It Now\" price and lets you add items to your \"cart\" before checking out with all the items. Very very cool feature, and I can definitely see this taking the shopping behemoth to another level.

Love? Maybe later...

Love & Personals – According to a new study done by the Pew Research Center, most young adults (18-29) are putting their careers ahead of their lovelives. Only a third polled said that they were in a commited, and of the remaining percentage, more weren\'t looking for a relationship than than those that were. As a man-child myself, I can certainly see this in people my age-- most would rather know that they\'re able to take care of someone when that opportunity arises then go half-heartedly into or be \"tied down\" by a relationship.

Taking a chance on Monopoly

Money – Expect some changes to a part of Americana this fall. The Monopoly board game has a poll up on their website right now asking for reader\'s opinions on new landmarks for the almost 100 year old game. In the new \"Here and Now\" edition expect property values and rent to go up along with the railroads being replaced by major airports. Don\'t worry, the original will still be available for those that want the old time feeling.

World of Warcraft Documentary

Video Games – Blizzard, the makers of World of Warcraft, are now offering a behind the scenes look at the game-building process in the form of a straight to DVD documentary film. Given how cinematic the game can be, this may be a pretty good flick.

Woman admitted with Bubonic Plague

Health & Fitness – A woman in LA county California was admitted to a hospital last Thursday after showing symptoms of bubonic plague. Once there, it was confirmed that she was in fact infected with the disease. Although bubonic plague isn\'t contagious, it\'s later later evolution, the pneumonic plague, is. The combined plagues produced the \"Black Death\" in Europe in the 14th century.

Fifty Screen Display Setup

Gadgets & Tech – While some of us are stoked to have a 24\" monitor, and maybe a secondary 17\" or 19\", these students at UC Irvine have a wall of fifty 30\" cinema displays from Apple. The wall\'s total resolution is 200 megapixels, or 128000 by 80000. Try that for a game of Quake.

Mark Cuban one ups Oprah

Celebrities – Wednesday night at the Dallas Mavericks\' \"Fan Appreciation\" game, Mark Cuban presented every one of the estimated 19,000 fans a voucher for a free flight on Dallas/Ft. Worth based American Airlines. There were a couple of caveats (the vouchers must be converted to tickets by April 30th, and the trips must be complete by November 12th), but overall, the gesture was grand to say the least. $3 Million grand-- the estimated total ticket cost.
