Do I look fat? Until recently, that was what would prompt me (sometimes) to go on a diet. Then I watched my mother (who was overweight) have a heart scare and now needs to get her knee replaced, but can't because she is too heavy for the surgery. I also watched my fun-loving (obese) aunt, who I loved, die from cancer, of which obesity was a contributing factor. Now I ask, am I healthy? When the answer was no, I decided I needed a lifestyle change, not a diet. That's what I'm doing now. I'm trying to get myself healthier and I hope to inspire others to do the same. Don't worry, I'm not planning on getting preachy, I just want to help educate. My life isn't all serious - I do have a sense of humor and will try to share some of that too.

Melody Road - a Road That Plays a Tune (Sorta)

Gadgets & Tech – Only in Japan, right? Have you ever driven over a road that has grooves in it, such that you get a (usually nasty) resonance and vibration? That's often done to make sure you don't drive off the edge of an offramp or some other similar 'hazard.' Well, a Japanese scientist thought of cutting the grooves in such a way as to produce a kind of music.
